Ducati Panigale V4 R Full PPF in Dubai

A Ducati Panigale V4 R gets full paint protection film at Apex Detail Studio in Al Quoz, Dubai, keeping its factory red finish.

Share on WhatsApp 14 Oct 2026 · 4 min read

This Ducati Panigale V4 R came into Apex Detail Studio for full paint protection film. Every painted panel of the fairings, tank and tail is now covered by a clear, self healing film that takes the stone chips, scratches and wear that a superbike collects on Dubai roads, so the factory finish underneath stays as new.

What was done to this Ducati Panigale V4 R?

The Panigale V4 R was given full paint protection film. The red bodywork is protected end to end, and the bike looks exactly as it did when it left Ducati, just with a deep, even gloss.

The V4 R is the most track focused Panigale Ducati makes, and it is a bike owners keep for the long run. That makes the original paint worth protecting. A superbike’s fairings sit low and close to the road, right in the path of grit, sand and small stones thrown up by the car in front. On a bike, even a short highway run in Dubai can leave chips across the nose and the sides of the fairing.

We have protected a number of performance bikes in the studio, including the BMW S 1000 RR and a Ducati Diavel V4. The Panigale is one of the hardest to do well, because almost every panel is a complex curve.

Why put PPF on a superbike?

Because bikes take more hits than cars and their panels are harder to repair. PPF takes the damage instead of the paint.

A motorcycle has no bonnet or bumper to shield it. The front fairing, the tank where your knees and jacket zips rub, and the tail all take daily wear. Replacing or repainting a Panigale fairing is expensive and slow, and matching Ducati red exactly is not easy. A clear film over the bodywork protects against stone chips, light scratches, boot and jacket scuffs and fading from the sun, and it is self healing, so light marks fade with heat.

It also makes the bike easier to live with. Bug splatter and road grime wipe off the film more easily, and the gloss stays even across every panel.

How is PPF fitted on a Panigale?

Panel by panel, by hand, with the film worked into every curve and edge so it sits flat and does not lift at speed.

The Panigale’s fairings are full of tight curves, vents, winglet mounts and sharp edges. Each piece of film has to be shaped around those details and finished cleanly at the edges, because on a bike the wind at speed will find any lifted corner. This is careful, slow work, which is why bikes get the same care in our studio as the supercars parked next to them.

Step by step on this Panigale V4 R

Before any film goes on, the bike is washed and cleaned panel by panel. Then the film is fitted piece by piece, starting with the panels that take the most wear, like the tank and side fairings.

How did the Panigale V4 R look when it was finished?

Exactly like a new V4 R, just protected. The red keeps its depth, the gloss is even from the nose to the tail, and the film is invisible from normal viewing distance.

Can you put PPF on a motorcycle?

Does PPF change the look of the bike?
