Lamborghini PPF in Dubai: Films, Finishes and Our Lamborghini Builds

Lamborghini PPF in Dubai means covering a Huracan, Urus or any other Lamborghini in a self-healing film that takes the sand, stone chips and heat instead of the paint. At Apex Detail Studio in Al Quoz we fit premium PPF film from DAP precut patterns, with no logos removed and full tuck-in edges. Full-body PPF starts from AED 14,000 for supercars (colour PPF from AED 15,000), depending on options, before 5% VAT.

What is Lamborghini PPF and why does it matter in Dubai?

Lamborghini PPF is paint protection film: a thin, tough, self-healing urethane layer fitted over every painted panel so stone chips, sand rash and light scratches hit the film instead of the paint. In Dubai it matters more than in most cities because the roads, the sand and the heat work on a low supercar every single day.

A Lamborghini sits close to the road and its nose, bumper, side skirts and rear arches take the brunt of whatever the car in front throws up. On Sheikh Zayed Road or a run out to the desert, that is fine sand and grit at speed. Summer temperatures above 45C add another layer of stress, and the coastal humidity does not help. Repainting a Lamborghini panel is costly and never quite matches the factory finish, so most owners would rather protect the original paint than repair it.

PPF also helps preserve resale value. A car with original, chip-free paint is simply easier to sell than one with a resprayed front end.

Matte or gloss: which PPF finish suits a Lamborghini?

Choose clear gloss film if you want the paint to look exactly as it left the factory, and satin film such as premium satin PPF if you want a matte look or already have a matte paint finish to protect. Both give the same kind of protection; the difference is the finish.

Our build Huracan with red PPF accents Huracan Sterrato

On a Huracan Sterrato we used premium satin PPF to protect and enhance the matte finish, so the car keeps its rally-inspired look while gaining a self-healing layer. On another Huracan we went the other way: clear premium gloss PPF on the body, with red PPF accents for styling. Our guide to types of PPF goes deeper into finishes and coverage levels.

What does premium satin PPF add over traditional clear film?

Premium satin PPF gives the same chip and scratch protection as clear film, but with a satin matte appearance. On a matte Lamborghini it protects the finish without adding gloss, and on a gloss car it changes the look without a colour change.

Matte paint is hard to look after. It cannot be polished in the usual way, so a scratch in factory matte paint often means a repaint. A satin film takes that risk away: the film can be cleaned, it self-heals light marks with heat, and if it is ever damaged badly the panel of film can be replaced rather than the paint.

Stealth also guards against the kind of minor knocks that happen in car parks and against gravel impacts on desert roads. The film carries a manufacturer warranty against issues such as peeling and yellowing, and our team explains the terms at handover.

How do we install PPF on a Lamborghini?

We correct and polish the paint first, then fit film cut from DAP precut patterns for that exact Lamborghini model, with no logos removed and the film tucked under panel edges and folds. The result is protection that is very hard to see.

  • Inspection and paint correction: we polish out swirls and imperfections, because film seals in whatever is underneath.
  • DAP precut film: patterns from the manufacturer’s Design Access Program are cut on the plotter for the specific model, so no blade is used on the paint. See our DAP precut explainer.
  • Logos stay on: we work around badges and logos rather than removing them.
  • Full tuck-in: the film is wrapped under panel edges and into folds, so edges are hidden and less likely to lift.
  • Controlled bay: installation happens in a temperature-controlled bay in our 20,000 sq ft Al Quoz studio, which keeps dust out and the film free of stretch marks.

Which parts of a Lamborghini need PPF most?

The front bumper, bonnet, front wings, mirrors, side skirts and the areas ahead of the rear wheels take the most damage on a Lamborghini, so they are the minimum we would protect. Full-body film covers every painted panel and is what most of our Lamborghini owners choose.

The shape of these cars explains why. The nose is low and wide, so it meets debris first. The side skirts sit close to the road and catch grit flicked up by the front tyres. On a Huracan the wide rear haunches are directly in the path of that grit too. Mirrors and the leading edge of the roof take hits at highway speed.

Partial kits leave a line where the film stops, and in Dubai the unprotected panels behind that line still fade and chip over time. Full-body coverage avoids that, keeps the finish uniform, and on a satin film such as premium satin PPF it is the only way to give the whole car the same look. We talk through coverage with every owner before we start, based on how and where the car is driven.

Which Lamborghinis have we protected at Apex?

We have fitted PPF to several Lamborghinis, including a Huracan Sterrato in premium satin PPF, a Huracan in clear premium gloss PPF with red accents, a Huracan Spyder in full premium gloss PPF, and a Urus SE in full-body film.

  • Huracan Sterrato, premium satin PPF: satin film to protect and enhance the matte finish of the off-road Huracan.
  • Huracan with red accents: full-body premium gloss PPF, paint correction, and red PPF on the mirror caps, side skirts, diffuser edges and bumper outline. Read the Lamborghini Huracan PPF build.
  • Urus SE: full-body PPF on Lamborghini’s performance SUV. Read the Lamborghini Urus SE full-body PPF build.
  • Huracan Spyder: full premium gloss PPF, shown in the video below.

Each car got a different film or finish because each owner uses the car differently. That is the conversation we start with.

How do you look after PPF on a Lamborghini in Dubai?

Wash the car gently with a pH-neutral shampoo, avoid harsh brushes and high-pressure jets aimed at film edges, and bring it back once a year so we can inspect the film. That keeps the film clear and the edges sealed.

Dubai cars collect fine dust quickly, and the temptation is to wipe it off dry. Do not: dry wiping drags sand across the film. Rinse first, then wash. Matte Stealth film needs matte-safe products without wax or gloss enhancers, so the satin finish stays even.

Every PPF installation at Apex includes yearly maintenance: we inspect the film, fix any issues and do touch-ups where needed. Our PPF aftercare guide covers washing in more detail.

How much does Lamborghini PPF cost in Dubai?

Full-body PPF at Apex starts from AED 14,000 for supercars (colour PPF from AED 15,000), depending on options, before 5% VAT. For a Lamborghini the final figure depends on the model, the film and finish you choose, and how much paint correction the car needs first.

A Urus has more surface than a Huracan, satin film and clear film are priced differently, and accents such as coloured PPF add to the job. The fastest way to an exact figure is to send us the model, year and how you use the car on WhatsApp. You can also read about our full paint protection film service in Dubai.

Is PPF worth it on a Lamborghini?

For most Lamborghini owners in Dubai, yes. The film protects original paint that is costly to repaint and hard to match, it keeps the car looking new, and original paint supports resale value.

It also changes how you drive the car. Owners who have PPF fitted are more likely to take the car on the highway, to the mountains or into the desert, because a stone chip is no longer a reason to stay home. That, more than anything, is why we recommend it.

Frequently asked questions

Can you put PPF on a matte Lamborghini?

Yes. We use a satin film such as premium satin PPF, which protects matte paint without adding gloss.

Do you remove Lamborghini badges to fit PPF?

No. We use DAP precut patterns and work around the logos, so badges stay on the car.

Will PPF change the colour of my Lamborghini?

Clear film keeps the colour and gloss. Satin film keeps the colour but changes the finish to matte.

Does PPF protect against desert sand and gravel?

Yes. That is one of its main jobs: the film takes sand rash, gravel impacts and stone chips instead of the paint.

Do I need paint correction before PPF on a Lamborghini?

We polish and correct the paint before film goes on, because the film seals in whatever is underneath it.

Is there aftercare after Lamborghini PPF?

Yes. Every PPF installation includes a yearly check where we inspect the film, fix issues and touch up where needed.

Does PPF help Lamborghini resale value?

Original, chip-free paint is easier to sell than resprayed panels, so protecting it helps preserve value.
