Luxury Car Detailing in Dubai: How We Care for High-End Cars

How we detail luxury and high-end cars in Dubai: paint correction, Gtechniq ceramic coating, leather and trim care, engine bay and headlight work, and how to keep the finish afterwards.

Luxury car detailing in Dubai needs more care than a standard clean: softer paint, fine leather and expensive trim all react badly to the wrong product. At Apex Detail Studio in Al Quoz, Dubai, we hand wash with pH-neutral shampoo, correct and polish the paint, protect it with Gtechniq ceramic or XPEL PPF, and clean and condition the cabin by hand.

What is luxury car detailing?

Luxury car detailing is a full exterior and interior detail adapted to the materials and finishes of high-end cars. The steps are similar to any detail, but the products, pads and pace are chosen for delicate paint, fine leather and costly trim.

Premium cars often have deep, soft clear coats that mark easily, matte or satin finishes that cannot be polished, and cabins trimmed in leather, open-pore wood and piano black. A single wrong product or a gritty towel can leave marks that take hours to correct. Luxury detailing is about doing the same work more carefully: inspecting first, testing products on a small area, and working with the right tool for each surface.

For the general picture of what any detail includes, start with our car detailing in Dubai guide.

How do we detail the exterior of a luxury car?

Our exterior process moves from gentle cleaning to correction and then protection, in that order. Each stage prepares the paint for the next.

  1. Hand wash: we wash by hand with a pH-neutral car shampoo, which removes dirt and contaminants without stripping existing protection or staining trim.
  2. Clay bar treatment: a clay bar lifts embedded particles that washing leaves behind, leaving the paint smooth.
  3. Paint correction: machine correction removes swirl marks, light scratches and oxidation, which brings back the depth and clarity of the paint.
  4. Polishing and sealing: premium polishes refine the finish, then a high-quality sealant adds shine and protection.
  5. Ceramic coating (optional): for longer-term protection we apply Gtechniq ceramic coating, which forms a hard, hydrophobic layer that resists water, dirt and UV.

You can read more about the coatings we use on our ceramic coating service page.

Should a luxury car get a sealant, ceramic coating or PPF?

It depends on how long you want the protection to last and what you want it to stop. A sealant protects gloss, a ceramic coating adds a harder and longer-lasting chemical layer, and PPF is the only one that physically stops stone chips.

Option What it does Best for
Polish and sealant Restores shine and adds a protective layer after polishing Cars detailed regularly, or owners who want a refresh
Gtechniq ceramic coating Bonds to the paint, adds gloss and a hydrophobic layer that resists water, dirt and UV Owners who want easier washing and longer-lasting gloss
XPEL PPF A clear film that guards against rock chips, scratches and physical damage Cars driven on motorways, new cars, and high-value paint

Many owners combine them: PPF on the painted panels most exposed to chips, and ceramic coating on top or on the rest of the car. Either way, the paint must be corrected first, because protection locks in whatever is underneath. Our paint protection film page covers PPF in more detail.

How do we clean and protect a luxury car interior?

Inside, we clean every surface by hand with products made for that material, then protect what the sun attacks. A luxury cabin is where shortcuts show most.

  • Vacuuming: carpets, seats and the hard-to-reach gaps under and between seats, where sand collects.
  • Steam cleaning: fabric upholstery and carpets are steam cleaned to lift ground-in dirt and refresh the fibres.
  • Leather care: leather is cleaned and then conditioned with premium leather care products to keep it supple and help prevent cracking.
  • Dashboard, door panels and trim: cleaned and polished, then treated with UV protection.
  • Glass and mirrors: every window and mirror is cleaned streak-free.

For an example of this work on a real car, see our Bentley Continental GT interior detailing article.

Which specialised services do luxury car owners add?

Beyond the main detail, owners of high-end cars often add a few specialised services that finish the car properly. These target areas a normal clean does not reach.

  • Engine bay cleaning and dressing: the engine bay is cleaned carefully and dressed so it looks as cared for as the rest of the car. Our engine bay cleaning guide explains the process.
  • Wheel and tyre care: wheels are cleaned, polished and protected, and tyres are dressed for a deep black finish.
  • Headlight restoration: cloudy or yellowed headlights are restored to clear, which improves both looks and night visibility.
  • XPEL paint protection film: a clear film that guards the paint against stone chips, scratches and physical damage, ideal for the front end of a car that sees motorway driving.

Why does a luxury car need extra care in Dubai?

Dubai’s heat, UV and sand are hard on every car, and luxury cars have more to lose. Summer temperatures pass 45C, the sun is strong year round, and fine sand gets into paint, seams and vents.

Soft, deep paint picks up swirl marks quickly when it is washed with sandy water or brushes. UV fades leather, dries out wood and dulls plastic trim. Humidity in the cooler months leaves a film on glass that traps dust. On a high-value car, these small marks add up, both in how the car looks every day and in what it is worth when the time comes to sell.

Regular detailing removes this wear before it sets in, and protection such as ceramic coating or PPF reduces how much damage reaches the paint in the first place.

Interiors suffer just as much. A car parked in the sun becomes extremely hot inside, which dries leather, fades dashboards and makes some trim tacky over time. Air conditioning runs for most of the year, so dust and odours build up in vents. Cleaning and conditioning the cabin on a regular schedule is the simplest way to keep a premium interior feeling new.

Why do owners choose our studio for luxury car detailing?

We detail luxury cars indoors, with our own in-house team, using products from brands we are accredited with. That combination keeps the work consistent from one car to the next.

  • Controlled environment: our 20,000 sq ft studio in Al Quoz has controlled bays, so paint is never worked on in direct sun or wind-blown dust.
  • Accredited products: we are XPEL and Gtechniq accredited, and use their PPF and ceramic coatings.
  • Experienced team: every car is handled by our skilled in-house technicians, not subcontractors.
  • Personal service: each package is built around the car, its condition and how the owner uses it.

We regularly detail cars such as Rolls-Royce, Bentley and Maybach models; our Maybach detailing article shows one of them.

What should you look for in a luxury car detailer in Dubai?

Look for a detailer who inspects before quoting, works indoors, and can explain exactly which products go on each surface. Those three things separate careful work from a quick polish.

  • Inspection first: a good detailer checks the paint under proper lighting and tells you what can and cannot be corrected before starting.
  • Indoor bays: polishing or coating outside in heat and dust leaves defects in the finish.
  • Material knowledge: leather, Alcantara, open-pore wood, piano black and matte paint all need different products.
  • Accreditation: brand accreditation shows the team has been trained on the films and coatings it installs.
  • Clear explanation: you should know what each step does and why it is in your package.

If a quote sounds too quick for the size and condition of the car, it usually means steps are being skipped.

How should you maintain a luxury car after detailing?

Gentle, regular care keeps a detailed luxury car looking right for much longer. Most marks we correct come from poor washing at home or at a quick wash.

  • Wash regularly with a pH-neutral shampoo and a microfibre mitt, rinsing grit off first.
  • Consider ceramic coating or PPF for longer-term protection, so dirt releases more easily.
  • Clean and condition leather seats regularly, and use a sunshade to limit UV damage.
  • Inspect the car periodically and deal with chips, stains or wear promptly, before they spread.

How much does luxury car detailing cost in Dubai?

Luxury car detailing pricing depends on the car and the package; send your car details on WhatsApp for an exact quote. Size, paint condition, the level of correction and any extras all change the time involved.

A single-stage polish on a well-kept saloon is a very different job from full correction, ceramic coating and an interior deep clean on a large SUV. Message us photos on +971 58 549 2739, tell us what you want to achieve, and we will come back with a clear recommendation.

Frequently asked questions

Is luxury car detailing different from normal detailing?

The steps are similar, but the products, pads and pace are chosen for delicate paint, fine leather and premium trim, and every surface is inspected first.

Can you detail a matte or satin luxury car?

Yes, but matte and satin finishes are never polished. We clean and protect them with products made for non-gloss surfaces.

Do you use ceramic coating on luxury cars?

Yes. We apply Gtechniq ceramic coating after paint correction for a hard, hydrophobic layer that resists water, dirt and UV.

Can you restore yellowed headlights?

Yes. Headlight restoration is one of our specialised services and brings cloudy or yellowed lenses back to clear.

Do you clean the engine bay?

Yes. Engine bay cleaning and dressing is available as part of a luxury detail or on its own.

What is the best way to wash a luxury car at home?

Use a pH-neutral shampoo and a clean microfibre mitt, rinse grit off first, and avoid automatic brush washes.
