What was done to this Porsche Cayenne Turbo?
The Cayenne Turbo had its engine bay and underbody dry ice cleaned, from the Turbo engine cover and reservoirs to the hoses, brace and suspension.
Engine bays collect fine dust in Dubai, and water or degreaser near the electrics is a risk. Dry ice cleans without either. For another Cayenne job, see our Porsche Cayenne paint restoration.
Why clean an engine bay with dry ice in Dubai?
Dubai is hard on the parts of a car you cannot see. Fine sand and dust get pulled into the engine bay with every drive, they mix with heat and oil vapour, and over time they bake into a grey film on the engine cover, hoses and plastics. Underneath, road grime and sand collect on the suspension and arch liners.
A normal wash cannot safely reach those areas, because water and degreasers do not belong around electrical connectors and hot engine parts. Dry ice gets around that. Small pellets of frozen carbon dioxide are blasted at the surface, the cold and the impact lift the dirt away, and the pellets turn straight into gas. Nothing is left behind to dry, and nothing abrasive touches the finish. That is why a high performance V8 like the Cayenne Turbo is a good candidate.
How was the engine bay cleaned?
The dry ice nozzle was worked across the engine cover, around the caps and reservoirs, and into the hoses and brace area. The pellets lift the dirt and turn into gas, so only the loosened dirt is left to remove.

Was the underbody cleaned too?

What are the benefits of a clean engine bay and underbody?
- It is easier to spot oil or coolant leaks early when everything is clean.
- A clean bay looks right when you open the bonnet to sell the car or show it off.
- Removing caked dust and grime from the underbody makes inspections and servicing simpler.
- No water or chemicals go near sensitive electrics.
