What was done to this Bentley Continental Azure?
The old PPF was removed, the paint was fully polished and corrected, and a high quality film was reapplied with proper edge work.
Cheap film and rushed installs show up as lifting edges, contamination under the film and poor fitment around badges and lights. See also our Bentley Bentayga old PPF removal and our bad PPF job article.
Why does a badly fitted PPF need replacing?
Paint protection film is only as good as the film and the hands that fit it. On this Continental, the first install used lower quality film and the workmanship showed. On a car like a Bentley, where the paint is deep and the panels are large and curved, those shortcuts are easy to spot once you know what to look for.
The common signs of a poor PPF job are lifting or peeling edges, dirt lines along the borders of the film, bubbles and stretch marks, visible seams on the bonnet and bumper, and film that has started to yellow or haze. Left on the car, a failing film keeps collecting grime under its edges and can be harder to remove the longer it stays. Our guide on why PPF yellows, peels or lifts covers the causes in more detail.
How was the old film removed?
The old film was lifted slowly with steam so the paint was not pulled, the adhesive was cleaned off, and the paint was polished and corrected before new film went on.

How was the new film installed?

How do you avoid a bad PPF job in the first place?
Most of the PPF we remove in Dubai was fitted by a shop that saved money on the film, the prep or the time spent on the car. Before you book, ask a few simple questions:
- Which film is going on the car, and what warranty comes with it?
- Is the paint polished and corrected before the film is fitted?
- Are the panels precut, and are the edges wrapped and tucked or left exposed?
- Can you see finished cars from the same studio, close up, in real light?
- What happens if an edge lifts after you collect the car?
When you collect a car after PPF, check it in daylight. Our PPF collection checklist lists exactly what to inspect, and is premium PPF worth it explains why the film choice matters.
How should you look after the new film?
New film needs a few days to settle before it is washed. After that, simple care keeps it clear and glossy for years:
- Wait about a week before the first wash.
- Hand wash with a pH neutral shampoo, and avoid brush car washes.
- Remove sand, sap and bird droppings quickly, especially in summer.
- Keep pressure washer nozzles away from film edges.
How much does PPF replacement cost in Dubai?
Full body PPF starts from AED 12,000 for sedans and AED 13,500 for SUVs and trucks, depending on options, before 5% VAT. Removing old film and correcting the paint adds time depending on condition, so send photos on WhatsApp for a quote. Read our Bentley PPF in Dubai guide.
Frequently asked questions
What did Apex Detail Studio do to this Bentley?
We removed the old PPF, polished and corrected the paint, and reapplied a high quality film.
How can I tell if my PPF was poorly installed?
Lifting edges, dirt trapped under the film, bubbles and visible cut lines are common signs.
Is removing old PPF safe?
Yes, when it is lifted slowly with heat or steam by trained installers and the adhesive is cleaned properly.
Why correct the paint before new film?
Film locks in whatever is underneath, so swirls and marks need removing first.
How much is PPF replacement in Dubai?
Full body PPF starts from AED 12,000 for sedans and AED 13,500 for SUVs and trucks, depending on options, before 5% VAT. Removal is quoted after inspection.
What should I check before collecting my car after PPF?
Look at it in daylight. Check that every edge is wrapped or neatly finished, that there are no bubbles, dust specks or stretch marks, and that badges, sensors and panel gaps look clean. Our PPF collection checklist covers each point.
Can a badly fitted film be fixed without removing it?
Small issues on one panel can sometimes be redone, but when the film itself is low quality, as on this Bentley, the safest fix is to remove it, correct the paint and fit new film.
