Why do Cayman owners choose Apex Detail Studio for PPF?
Because the Cayman is a car we know well, and owners can see the ones we have done before they book. The reasons owners give us come down to six things.
- Experience on the exact car: the 718 Cayman GTS, GT4 and Spyder RS, alongside the many Porsche 911s we protect.
- Work you can see first: full builds on our YouTube channel and photos from the jobs themselves.
- Edges done properly: film tucked around the panel edges and into the intakes, so no line shows.
- Preparation before film: inspection, wash, decontamination and paint correction where needed, because film locks in whatever is underneath.
- A written 10 year warranty on both film and workmanship.
- More than film: colour changes, custom liveries, tint and ceramic coating, all in one studio.

Every Porsche Cayman Apex has protected in the last two years
These are the Caymans and 718s we have posted on our Instagram and YouTube since late 2024, from brand new GTS cars in clear film to a GT4 colour change and an off road Cayman built for Icons of Porsche. Each card shows the actual car and what was done to it, with a link to the post, the video or the full write up. If you are looking for somewhere to protect a Cayman like yours, start here.

How does Apex handle the hardest parts of a Cayman?
Slowly, by hand, and with the film wrapped around the edges. The Cayman is small, but its mid engine shape gives it some of the deepest curves of any Porsche.
- The side intakes: the air intakes behind the doors curve deep into the body. Film is worked into them by hand so it does not lift.
- The rear haunches: the wide rear quarters curve in two directions at once, so the film is stretched and set slowly with two installers.
- The front bumper: the nose sits low and takes the most stone chips, and its intakes each need their own edge work.
- GT aero: on the GT4 and Spyder RS, the rear wing, front splitter and diffuser are protected along with the body.
- Edges: film is tucked around panel edges, not cut short on the face of the panel where dirt collects and film lifts.

What does Apex do before any film goes on?
Every Cayman is inspected, washed, decontaminated and checked under studio light first. PPF locks in whatever is underneath, so the preparation decides how the finished car looks.
We check the factory paint with you and record any marks. The car gets a full foam wash and decontamination. If there are swirls or chips, the paint is corrected before film. Film patterns are cut on our plotter for the exact car, and for tint, every door is prepared and protected before the film goes on.

How should I compare Apex with other PPF studios in Dubai?
Ask every studio the same questions, including us. The answers tell you more than the headline price.
- Have you done a Cayman? Ask to see photos or video of the exact model.
- What does full body include? Every painted panel, including the roof, side intakes, rear haunches and mirrors?
- How are the edges finished? Tucked around the panels, or cut short on the surface?
- Will any parts come off? And if so, who refits them?
- What is the warranty? Does it cover workmanship as well as film, and is it in writing?
- What happens before the film? Is paint correction included where needed?
