Full body PPF on a Porsche 911 starts from AED 14,000 before VAT. That covers every painted exterior panel with clear, self healing film, with the edges tucked so no paint line is left showing.

Why does a 911 cost more to protect than a sedan?

A 911 takes more labour per panel than a sedan. The car is small, but almost every panel is a compound curve, and the rear of the car is the hardest shape we wrap.

• The rear haunches: the wide rear quarters of a 911 curve in two directions at once. The film has to be stretched and set slowly so it lies flat without lines.
• Vents, intakes and wings: GT models add deep front intakes, bonnet vents and large rear wings with swan neck mounts. Each opening needs its own edge work.
• Lettering and lights: the PORSCHE script, the model badges and the full width rear light bar all need film pressed down around them by hand.
• Tucked edges: we wrap the film around panel edges so there is no visible line, which takes longer than cutting film short on the face of the panel.

Does a Carrera, GTS or GT3 cost the same to protect?

All 911 models start from the same AED 14,000 line before VAT. The final quote moves with the car’s details, not its badge.

A Carrera has the cleanest body of the range, so most of the work is in the rear haunches and the lights. A GTS adds darker trim and extra vents. A GT3 or GT3 RS adds carbon aero, bigger intakes and a large rear wing, all of which take longer to finish properly. What changes the price of PPF on a Porsche 911?

Coverage, finish and paint condition change the quote most. The model matters less than what you want done to the car.

1. Coverage: full body clear film is the base. Extras such as windshield protection film or interior film are priced on top.

3. Paint condition: a new car goes straight to film after a full wash and decontamination. A car with swirls or chips may need paint correction first, because film locks in whatever is underneath.
4. Add ons: window tint, ceramic coating and interior protection are priced separately and often booked together.

Is PPF worth it on a Porsche 911?

For most owners, yes. Original paint is a large part of a 911’s value, and a buyer or inspector can find a respray with a paint depth gauge. Film keeps the factory paint as it left the factory.

Dubai is also hard on a low sports car. Stone chips come off the highways at speed, sand blasts the front and the rear arches, and the sun is strong all year. On a 911 the rear arches sit right behind the front tyres, so they take chips that a sedan would never see on its sides. How long does PPF take on a 911?

Full PPF takes 2 to 3 days at our studio. Window tint adds about 3 to 4 hours if it is booked at the same time.

How do I compare PPF quotes for a 911?

Compare what is covered and how it is fitted, not just the headline price. Two quotes for full PPF on a 911 can mean very different jobs.

• Ask what full body includes: every painted panel, including the roof, rear haunches, engine lid and mirrors?
• Ask about edges: are edges tucked around panels, or cut short on the surface where dirt collects and film lifts?
