The first thing to do with a new Porsche 911 in Dubai is fit full body PPF before its first drive, then add window tint, a ceramic coating on top of the film and interior protection film. At Apex Detail Studio, full PPF on a 911 starts from AED 14,000 before 5% VAT, and all four can be done in one visit.

What should I protect first on a new Porsche 911?
Paint first. Stone chips are the one kind of damage on a 911 that cannot be undone without paint, and they start on the first drive. Tint, coating and interior film can follow in the same visit.
| Step | Service | Why it matters on a 911 | From (before 5% VAT) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Full body PPF | Stops stone chips, sand and scratches on the original paint | AED 14,000 |
| 2 | Window tint | Cuts heat and UV inside a small cabin with a lot of glass | AED 2,500 |
| 3 | Ceramic coating | Easier washing and water beading on top of the film | AED 2,500 |
| 4 | Interior protection film | Guards screens and gloss trim against scratches | AED 2,000 |

Why fit PPF before the first drive?
Because a new car has perfect paint, and film locks in whatever is underneath. Fit it on day one and the factory finish is sealed as it left Porsche.
A new car still gets a full wash and decontamination before any film goes on, but it does not need paint correction. A car that has already covered a few weeks in Dubai often has chips on the front and the rear arches, and those have to be dealt with first. If your car is already on the road, bring it in anyway: we inspect it and tell you what it needs. Our new car PPF checklist covers what to look for.

Full body PPF or front only on a 911?
Full body. A front kit covers the bonnet, bumper, wings and mirrors, but on a 911 the wide rear arches sit right behind the front tyres and take chips that a front kit leaves exposed.
Full body film also covers the doors against car park dings and the engine lid and rear bumper against debris thrown up by traffic. If budget matters, our guide to partial PPF packages explains which panels to protect first, and the Porsche 911 PPF cost guide breaks down every option.

Do I need window tint on a 911?
In Dubai, yes. The 911 cabin is small and the glass is large, so the sun heats it quickly. Good tint cuts heat and UV, which protects the leather and the dashboard as well as the people inside.
Tint takes about 3 to 4 hours and can be fitted while the car is with us for PPF. Before choosing a shade, check the current rules in our UAE window tinting guide. Our 911 Carrera GTS window tint job shows the work on a new GTS.

Should I add ceramic coating on top of the film?
It is optional, and most owners who wash their own car like it. A coating over the film makes water bead and dirt release more easily, so the car stays cleaner between washes. It is not a replacement for film, because it does not stop stone chips.
Our guides to PPF vs ceramic coating and ceramic coating on a brand new car explain the difference.
What about the interior and the windshield?
Interior protection film starts from AED 2,000 before VAT and covers the screens and gloss trim that scratch easily. On GT cars, many owners also add windshield protection film, which we quote per car.
We fitted interior film and tint on a silver 911 Carrera alongside full exterior PPF, and windshield film on a GT3 RS Weissach. Our interior PPF guide covers what can be protected inside.

Gloss, satin or a new colour?
Most new 911 owners keep the factory gloss with clear film. If you want a different look, satin PPF turns the car matte without paint, and colour PPF changes the colour while protecting the original paint. Both are reversible.
See our Porsche 911 matte and satin PPF guide and our Porsche 911 colour change PPF guide.
How long will my new 911 be with you?
Full PPF takes 2 to 3 days. Window tint adds about 3 to 4 hours when it is booked at the same time.
We are open every day except Friday, visits are by appointment, and we offer pick up and drop off across Dubai, so the car can come to us straight from collection. No deposit is needed to book. Film and workmanship are both covered for 5 years, and our yearly PPF maintenance package keeps the film in shape: film inspection, hydrophobic refresh, hand wash and detail, and a UV check.

What our PPF customers say
Frequently asked questions
What should I do first with a new Porsche 911 in Dubai?
Fit full body PPF before the first drive. Window tint, ceramic coating and interior film can be added in the same visit.
How much does it cost to protect a new 911?
At Apex Detail Studio, full PPF on a 911 starts from AED 14,000, window tint from AED 2,500, ceramic coating from AED 2,500 and interior film from AED 2,000, all before 5% VAT.
Does a new 911 need paint correction before PPF?
A brand new car usually goes straight to film after a full wash and decontamination. A car that has been driven may need correction first.
Is front only PPF enough on a 911?
On a 911 we recommend full body film, because the wide rear arches sit behind the front tyres and take stone chips that a front kit does not cover.
How long does it take?
Full PPF takes 2 to 3 days. Window tint booked at the same time adds about 3 to 4 hours.
Can you collect the car from the dealer?
We offer pick up and drop off across Dubai.
What warranty do you give?
Film and workmanship are both covered for 5 years.
