Quick answer: Two Porsche 911 Carreras came through Apex Detail Studio for paint protection. The silver car received the complete treatment: full exterior paint protection film, interior PPF and premium window tint, so the paint, the cabin surfaces and the occupants are all protected. The black car received full-body PPF to guard its original finish against road debris, scratches and everyday wear. Full-body PPF at Apex starts from AED 11,000 depending on the film, and interior film from AED 2,000, both before 5% VAT.

The 911 is one of the most common sports cars on Dubai roads, and one of the most exposed. Its low nose, wide rear haunches and daily use on Sheikh Zayed Road and Al Khail Road mean stone chips arrive quickly, and the sun works on the cabin every time it is parked outside.
These two Carreras show the two ways owners usually approach protection. One went for everything at once, inside and out. The other focused on the paint. Here is what each received and why the choices make sense.
What was done to these two Porsche 911 Carreras?
Both cars were wrapped in full-body clear PPF. The silver car went further, with interior PPF on the cabin surfaces and premium window tint on the glass.
| Service | Silver 911 Carrera | Black 911 Carrera |
|---|---|---|
| Full exterior PPF | Yes | Yes |
| Interior PPF | Yes | No |
| Premium window tint | Yes | No |
| What it protects | Paint, cabin trim and screens, occupants from heat | Paint from chips, scratches and wash marks |
The silver car’s package covers protection and comfort together, while the black car’s film keeps its paint protected and its original finish preserved.

Why choose full-body PPF over a front-end package on a 911?
Because on a 911 the damage is not limited to the front. The bonnet and bumper take direct hits, but the wide rear arches sit right behind the front tyres, which throw grit and small stones back at them. Door edges, sills and mirrors also pick up marks in car parks and on the wash bay.
Full-body coverage means there are no visible film lines across the bonnet or wings and no unprotected panels at all. On a black car it also matters for washing, because black paint shows every swirl, and the film takes those marks instead of the clear coat. Our full front PPF guide explains when a partial package is enough and when it is not.
Why add interior PPF and window tint?
Interior PPF is a thin clear film applied to high-touch cabin surfaces such as screens, gloss trim and console areas, where rings, keys and cleaning cloths leave fine scratches. Our guide to interior PPF for screens and gloss trim covers which surfaces are usually included.
Premium window tint reduces the heat and UV that reach the cabin, which helps protect leather and trim and makes the car more comfortable on a Dubai afternoon. Darkness and heat rejection are different things, so a lighter film can still perform well, as explained in heat rejection vs tint darkness. Tint shade should stay within current UAE rules.
How did Apex Detail Studio protect the cars?
- Inspection. Paint condition, existing marks and trim were checked and recorded before work began.
- Wash and decontamination. Each car was washed and decontaminated so no grit or fallout was trapped under the film.
- Pattern preparation. Vehicle-specific patterns were prepared in software to keep blade work on the car to a minimum.
- Film installation. Every painted panel was covered, with edges wrapped wherever it was safe to do so.
- Interior film and tint. On the silver car, cabin surfaces were filmed and the windows tinted after the exterior was finished.
- Final inspection. Edges, seams and glass were checked under studio lighting before handover.
Standard full-body PPF installation generally takes two to three days. Our installation process guide shows each stage in more detail.

How much does PPF and tint cost for a Porsche 911 in Dubai?
Full-body PPF at Apex starts from AED 11,000 depending on the film, with XPEL from AED 15,000 for a sedan or coupe, before 5% VAT. Interior protection film starts from AED 2,000. Window tint is quoted per car after inspection, because the film and the number of windows change the price.

How should a protected 911 be looked after?
- Hand wash with a pH-neutral shampoo and clean mitts, rinsing sand off first.
- Keep pressure-washer nozzles away from film edges.
- Clean filmed screens and trim with a soft microfibre and a gentle interior cleaner.
- Leave newly tinted windows closed for the first few days, as advised at handover.
- Book periodic inspections of film edges and tint.
Our new tint aftercare guide covers the first days after tinting.
Frequently asked questions
What did Apex Detail Studio do to the two Porsche 911 Carreras?
Both cars received full-body clear PPF at our Al Quoz studio. The silver car also received interior PPF on its cabin surfaces and premium window tint on the glass.
Is full-body PPF worth it on a Porsche 911?
On a 911 the wide rear arches, sills and door edges pick up chips and marks as well as the nose. Full-body coverage protects every painted panel and avoids visible film lines across the bonnet and wings.
What is interior PPF?
Interior PPF is a thin clear film applied to high-touch cabin surfaces such as screens and gloss trim. It helps prevent fine scratches from keys, rings and cleaning cloths.
How much does full-body PPF cost for a Porsche 911 in Dubai?
Full-body PPF at Apex starts from AED 11,000 depending on the film, with XPEL from AED 15,000 for a sedan or coupe, before 5% VAT. Each car is confirmed after inspection.
Can I tint my Porsche windows in Dubai?
Yes, within current UAE rules for private vehicles, which you should confirm before installation. Heat rejection depends on the film, not only on how dark it looks.
How do I book my 911 in at Apex?
