A Ferrari Purosangue and an Audi RS6 came to Apex Detail Studio for one shared vision: both received a full colour change paint protection film in Nardo Grey, transforming their original finishes while keeping the factory paint protected underneath. Door shuts and inner edges were colour-matched in our spray booth so the new colour carries through when the doors open. If you are considering Nardo grey colour PPF in Dubai, this build shows every stage on both cars.

What was done to the Purosangue and RS6?
Both cars were wrapped in Nardo Grey colour change PPF, panel by panel, and their door shuts were colour-matched in the spray booth.
Nardo Grey is a flat, solid grey made famous by Audi RS models. On the Purosangue it gives Ferrari’s first four-door a stealthy, modern look; on the RS6 it gives the classic RS colour without repainting. Both cars keep their original paint underneath, protected by the film. Read more on colour PPF vs vinyl wrap.
How was the Nardo Grey colour PPF installed?
Large sheets of Nardo Grey film were laid on each panel with slip solution, squeegeed out and wrapped into the edges.
- Preparation. Both cars were cleaned and prepared, and the film was laid out for cutting.
- Panel installation. Teams handled large sheets for the bonnet, doors and quarters, then squeegeed them flat.
- Edges and details. Film was wrapped around arches, pillars, window frames and the rear wing.
- Inspection. Every panel was checked for an even colour under studio lighting.

Step by step on this Purosangue and RS6
These stills come from the full build video further down the page, so every photo shows this exact car in our Al Quoz studio.

How were the door shuts colour-matched?
The door shuts and inner edges were masked and sprayed to match the Nardo Grey, so no original colour shows when the doors open.
Film cannot reach every inner surface, so a colour-matched finish in the spray booth completes the colour change. Parts like the mirror caps were also sprayed, and the finish was refined by machine afterwards.

Frequently asked questions
What did Apex Detail Studio do to these two cars?

Does colour PPF protect the paint?
Yes. It is a protection film, so it absorbs stone chips and resists scratches like clear PPF.
Why colour-match the door shuts?
