Zeus OffRoad Cayman: Porsche 987 Cayman S Livery Wrap in Dubai

The Zeus OffRoad Cayman is the off road Porsche Cayman S (987) built by Zeus OffRoad, one of the best known off road Porsche builds in Dubai, and Apex Detail Studio gave it its livery: a custom dual tone wrap in gloss teal over matte black, split by an orange pinstripe, with custom decals all across the car. We took it from concept to finished car at our Al Quoz studio in Dubai, in time for Icons of Porsche 2025.

What is the Zeus OffRoad Cayman?

The Zeus OffRoad Cayman is Zeus OffRoad’s off road Porsche Cayman S, a 987 generation car built for sand rather than circuits, and one of the most talked about Porsche builds in the UAE. Zeus OffRoad did the mechanical work, including new suspension and a new cooling system, and then called us to turn a bare grey car into something that looks the part.

When the car reached us, the mechanical side was done and the body was a clean slate: lifted, on chunky all terrain tyres, with bash plates under the nose, and still in plain grey. Our brief was the look. Zeus OffRoad partnered with us for the livery because of our detailing, film and precision livery work, and we were thrilled to develop it from the first sketch to the finished car.

How do you design a custom livery for a Porsche Cayman?

You start on paper, not on the car. Before any film was cut, we built a concept board with the colour split, the stripe and every logo placed on drawings of the Cayman.

The board decided three things. First, the colour split: gloss teal on the roof, bonnet, doors and upper flanks, matte black on the lower body and wheel arches, so the car looks lower and tougher than its ride height suggests. Second, the line between them: a thin orange pinstripe that follows the shape of the 987 from the nose to the rear haunch. Third, the decal map: where the 9A numbers, the Zeus OffRoad lettering, the partner logos and the small details such as “Bash plates keep clear” would sit, so nothing crosses a panel gap badly or fights the body lines.

How was the dual tone wrap installed on the Cayman?

By hand, panel by panel, on a fully cleaned car. The body was foam washed first, parts were taken off where film had to wrap around edges, and the teal and black films were laid and trimmed separately so the split line stays sharp.

  1. Arrival and inspection: the Cayman came in on a trailer, bare grey, with the mechanical build finished.
  2. Wash and preparation: a full foam wash and clean, because dust and wax under film show through and stop it bonding.
  3. Parts off: trim and parts were removed so the film could be wrapped around edges rather than cut short at them.
  4. Teal film on the upper body: laid over the bonnet, roof, doors and flanks and worked around the vented bonnet panel.
  5. Black film on the lower body: the lower doors, sills, bumpers and the wide wheel arches.
  6. Pinstripe and decals: the orange stripe along the colour split, then every custom decal placed to the concept board.

Step by step on this Cayman S

What custom decals are on the Zeus OffRoad Cayman?

Decals run all across the car, and each one was made for this build. The big ones carry the identity; the small ones are the details people notice when they walk up to it at a show.

  • 9A numbers in orange on the nose and on the black rear arches.
  • Zeus OffRoad lettering across the front bumper and the rear, and the Zeus lion logo on the doors.
  • Porsche script across the top of the windscreen.
  • Partner logos along the lower body, including Rowe and FCP Euro.
  • “Bash plates keep clear” along the front, a nod to the plates under the nose.
  • “Racoon City” under the Zeus OffRoad lettering at the rear.
  • Apex Detail Studio on the upper flanks, over the teal.

The original Cayman S badge on the engine lid stays, sitting on the teal above the black rear bumper.

Why choose a wrap for a livery instead of paint?

Because a wrap gives a show car a sharp, multi colour livery without repainting it, and it can be changed or removed later. On a project car that may change direction, that matters.

  • Sharp lines and graphics: stripes, colour splits and logos are cut, not masked and sprayed, so they come out crisp.
  • No permanent change to the body: the original surface stays underneath.
  • Easier to update: new partners or a new number can be swapped by changing the decals, not repainting a panel.
  • Two finishes on one car: gloss and matte side by side, which is hard to do cleanly in paint.

If you want a colour change that also protects the paint against stone chips and sand, colour PPF is the other route. It is thicker, self healing and made to take more abuse, and it starts from AED 15,000 before 5% VAT, depending on the car and options. We explain the difference in colour PPF vs vinyl wrap.

Finished in the studio, the Cayman reads as one design from every angle: teal on top, black where the sand and stones hit, and the orange line tying the two together.

Where did the Cayman debut?

At Icons of Porsche in Dubai, the weekend after we finished it, in November 2025. The Zeus OffRoad Cayman went there in its new livery, and after the show it was headed where it was built to go: the dunes.

How much does a custom livery wrap cost in Dubai?

It depends on the design. The number of colours, how much of the car is covered, the finishes, and how many custom decals have to be designed and cut all change the price, so we quote every livery after seeing the car and the idea.

For reference, our colour PPF starts from AED 15,000 before 5% VAT, and full body clear PPF starts from AED 12,000 for sedans and AED 13,500 for SUVs and trucks, depending on options. For a livery quote, send us a sketch or reference photos of what you have in mind.

Frequently asked questions

Who built the Zeus OffRoad Porsche Cayman?

Zeus OffRoad in Dubai built the car mechanically, including new suspension and a new cooling system. Apex Detail Studio designed and fitted the livery: a custom dual tone wrap and custom decals all across the car.

Which Porsche is the Zeus OffRoad Cayman?

It is a Porsche Cayman S from the 987 generation, converted by Zeus OffRoad into a lifted off road car on all terrain tyres with bash plates.

What colours is the Cayman livery?

Gloss teal on the upper body, matte black on the lower body and wheel arches, and a thin orange pinstripe along the line where the two colours meet.

Can Apex design a custom livery from scratch?

Yes. On this Cayman we started from a concept board that placed the colour split, stripe and every logo before any film was cut, so the whole design was agreed before work started.

Do you make custom decals in Dubai?

Yes. Every decal on the Zeus OffRoad Cayman was made for the car, from the 9A numbers and Zeus OffRoad lettering to small details like "Bash plates keep clear".

Is a wrap better than paint for a livery?

For a show or project car, usually yes. A wrap gives sharp graphics and two finishes on one car, keeps the original surface underneath, and can be updated or removed later.

How much does a livery wrap cost in Dubai?

It depends on the design, coverage, finishes and number of custom decals, so we quote each livery after seeing the car and the idea. Colour PPF, the tougher alternative, starts from AED 15,000 before 5% VAT.

Where was the Zeus OffRoad Cayman shown?

It made its debut at Icons of Porsche in Dubai in November 2025, the weekend after we finished the livery.
