How does Apex handle the hardest parts of a G63?
Slowly, and edge by edge. The G-Class looks simple because it is flat, but flat panels show every line, and the car is full of exposed edges.
- Door edges and hinges: the doors have exposed hinges and sharp edges. Film is wrapped around the door edge so it does not lift where hands and dust hit it.
- Arch flares: the wide AMG flares curve out from flat doors. Each flare is set slowly so the film lies flat with no lifting at the edge.
- Bonnet indicators and the grille: the indicators on the wings and the AMG grille each need their own trim work.
- The spare wheel cover: protected with its own pattern, along with the rear door around it.
- Desert and gravel: the front, bonnet, A pillars and lower doors take the most stone hits and sand. Our G63 desert protection guide covers the panels that matter most if you drive off road.
What does Apex do before any film goes on?
Every G-Class is inspected, washed, decontaminated and checked under studio light first. PPF locks in whatever is underneath, so the preparation decides how the finished car looks.
We check the factory paint with you and record any marks. The car gets a full foam wash, including the roof and the spare wheel cover, then decontamination. If there are swirls or chips, the paint is corrected before film, as we did on the Mansory P720. Film patterns are cut on our plotter for the exact car, and colour changes get peelable paint in the door shuts where needed.
What warranty and service do you get with Apex?
A written 10 year warranty on film and workmanship, and a studio that is easy to deal with from the first message to collection.
