What was done to this G63?
The car arrived white, with silver and white details on the handles and mirrors. The owner wanted it completely blacked out, without painting the body.
- Full body colour change: every exterior panel wrapped in satin black film, with the edges tucked in so no white shows at the gaps.
- Door shuts: the inside of the door openings used to be white. They were finished in black peelable paint, which can be removed whenever the owner wants.
- Handles and mirrors: painted black, replacing the silver and white finish.
- Wheels: all four rims were badly damaged, so they had a CNC repair, were painted, and the faded red calipers were repainted.
How do you stop white showing on a colour change?
By tucking every edge and treating the door shuts properly. On a G-Class the risk areas are the front wings, the door edges, the hinge areas and the openings you see every time a door is opened.

Leaving the door openings white would give the colour change away every time a door opens. We finished them in black peelable paint, so the car looks black inside the shuts too, and the owner can peel it off later.

All four rims were damaged. We carried out a CNC repair on each one, painted the rims, and repainted the calipers, because the original red had faded.
Colour PPF, vinyl wrap or respray on a G63?
A film colour change keeps the factory paint and can be reversed; a respray is permanent and stays on the car’s history. Colour PPF is thick, self-healing film, so it also protects against stone chips, while a vinyl wrap mainly changes the look.
