Hand washes in residential car parks are cheap and convenient, but they are not set up to correct or protect paint. Brushes, dirty mitts and shared buckets drag sand across the clear coat and leave swirl marks that build up over time. A studio starts by removing those defects, then puts protection on top so they do not return.

Environment matters too. Quality PPF and ceramic work cannot be done properly outdoors or in open-sided sheds, because dust lands under the film and heat makes coatings flash before they can be levelled. Why does an indoor studio matter for car detailing in Dubai?

Because dust, sand and heat ruin film and coating work. Indoors, in controlled installation bays, film goes on without particles trapped underneath and coatings cure evenly instead of flashing off on a hot panel.

Dubai’s conditions are tough on installers as well as cars. Outdoors, a gust of wind can drop sand onto a panel just as the film is laid, leaving a bump that will show for the life of the film. In summer heat above 45C, a ceramic coating can start to set before it has been levelled, which leaves high spots and streaks. Humidity on the coast affects curing too. None of this can be fixed afterwards without redoing the work.

What is included in interior and exterior detailing?

Exterior detailing covers a thorough wash, decontamination, clay treatment, paint correction, wheel cleaning and polishing, and glass treatment. Interior detailing covers deep cleaning of seats, carpets and upholstery, leather conditioning, and dashboard cleaning and protection.

On the outside, decontamination removes iron particles and tar that a normal wash leaves behind, and the clay stage lifts bonded contamination so the paint feels smooth. Paint correction then machine polishes out swirls, light scratches and dullness. Wheels are cleaned inside the barrels as well as on the faces, and glass is treated so water clears more easily.

Inside, Dubai’s sand finds its way into every carpet and seam, and the heat dries leather. A proper interior detail removes the sand and grime, cleans and conditions the leather so it stays supple, and protects the dashboard and trim from fading.
