Quick answer: This Nissan Patrol Nismo received full-body paint protection film at Apex Detail Studio, protecting its aggressive finish from stone chips, scratches and everyday road wear. The car is white with a contrasting black roof and red Nismo accents, so every chip on the bonnet or bumper would show. Full coverage means every painted panel sits under a clear, self-healing film, with no film lines across the bonnet. Full-body PPF at Apex starts from AED 11,000, depending on the film, before 5% VAT.

The Nissan Patrol is part of daily life in the UAE. It does the school run, the long motorway drives to Abu Dhabi and the weekend trips into the desert, often all in the same week. The Nismo version takes that familiar shape and adds a more aggressive body kit, red detailing and a sharper stance, built to be noticed.

That presence comes with exposure. A tall, wide front end meets every pebble and grain of sand thrown up on Sheikh Zayed Road, and the deep front bumper and bonnet take the most hits. As our caption put it, built for the road and protected for every mile. Here is what full PPF involved on this Patrol Nismo.

What was done to this Nissan Patrol Nismo?

The Patrol received full-body paint protection film, covering every painted panel in a clear, self-healing urethane layer.

Area Why it matters on a Patrol Nismo What the film protects against
Front bumper and splitter Lowest and most forward point, first to meet debris Stone chips, sand blasting, scuffs
Bonnet and front wings Large flat surfaces in the path of road grit Chips and pitting at motorway speeds
Doors and sills Exposed to stones from the front wheels and to door dings Chips, scratches, parking marks
Rear bumper and tailgate Loading area and rear spray Scratches from loading, sand and grit

Doing the whole car means a single, consistent finish. There are no visible edges halfway up the bonnet and no unprotected panels for the sun and sand to work on.

Why full PPF instead of a front-end package?

Because on a large SUV the damage does not stop at the bumper. Front-end packages are a sensible starting point for many cars, and our guide to partial PPF packages explains where they make sense. On a Patrol, though, stones flicked up by the front tyres travel down the sides, the sills catch grit, and the rear bumper takes scuffs whenever anything is loaded.

White paint also shows contrast. A chip on a white bumper reveals grey primer, and a scuff on a red Nismo accent is obvious from metres away. Full-body film keeps the whole car looking the way it left the showroom. For more on how Dubai driving affects coverage choices, see the best PPF coverage for highway driving.

How did Apex Detail Studio protect the Patrol?

Every PPF job at our 20,000 sq ft Al Quoz studio follows the same documented process.

  1. Inspection. We checked the paint, panel gaps, existing marks and any previous repairs, and photographed the car before work began.
  2. Wash and decontamination. Sand, iron fallout and tar were removed so nothing was trapped under the film.
  3. Paint preparation. Any light defects were addressed so the film sat over a clean, even surface.
  4. Pattern preparation. Vehicle-specific patterns were adjusted in software, keeping blade work on the car to a minimum.
  5. Film installation. Each panel was covered, with edges wrapped wherever it was safe to do so, and extra care around the Nismo body kit, sensors and lights.
  6. Final inspection. Every edge and seam was checked under studio lighting before handover.

Our installation process guide shows each stage in more detail.

Is the Patrol Nismo harder to wrap than a standard Patrol?

It takes more care. The Nismo body kit adds sharper creases, deeper bumper openings and contrasting trim, and each of those needs the film to be shaped and trimmed precisely so edges stay neat and do not lift.

The size of the car matters too. A full-size SUV has large panels, so the film must be laid without tension marks across wide surfaces such as the bonnet and doors. Our guide to Nissan Patrol PPF for highway and off-road driving covers the standard Patrol in more depth.

How much does full PPF cost on a Patrol Nismo?

Full-body PPF at Apex starts from AED 11,000, depending on the film, before 5% VAT. Premium XPEL film starts from AED 16,500 for an SUV, and a satin or matte finish adds AED 500. The final figure depends on the film, the condition of the paint and any extra areas you want covered, so we confirm it after inspection.

Our PPF price guide for 2026 explains what changes the price, and the PPF service page lists the films we install.

How should a Patrol with PPF be looked after?

  • Rinse sand and dust off thoroughly before any contact wash.
  • Hand wash with a pH-neutral shampoo and clean mitts.
  • Keep pressure-washer nozzles away from film edges.
  • After desert trips, wash the lower panels and arches promptly so sand does not sit on the film.
  • Bring the car back for a periodic check of edges and high-impact areas.

If you want extra slickness and easier cleaning, a coating can be added on top of the film. Our guide to ceramic coating over PPF explains how that works.

Frequently asked questions

What did Apex Detail Studio do to the Nissan Patrol Nismo?

The Patrol Nismo received full-body paint protection film at our Al Quoz studio. Every painted panel is now covered by a clear, self-healing film that protects against stone chips, scratches and everyday road wear.

Is full PPF worth it on a Nissan Patrol?

For a car used on Dubai motorways and in the desert, full PPF is a practical choice. Stones and sand hit the bumper, bonnet, sides and sills, and full coverage protects all of them without visible film lines.

How much does PPF cost for a Patrol Nismo in Dubai?

Full-body PPF at Apex Detail Studio starts from AED 11,000, depending on the film, before 5% VAT. Premium XPEL film starts from AED 16,500 for an SUV. The final price is confirmed after inspection.

Does PPF change the look of a white Patrol?

A gloss film keeps the factory finish looking the same, with a clear, glossy surface. A satin or matte film is also available if you want a different look, for an extra AED 500.

Can PPF handle desert driving?

PPF is designed to absorb impacts from sand and small stones that would otherwise chip the paint. Washing sand off the lower panels soon after a desert trip helps keep the film in good condition.
