Colour change PPF gives a Tesla Cybertruck a new colour without paint. The film covers every stainless steel body panel, changes the colour and protects the steel underneath, and it can be removed later. At Apex Detail Studio in Dubai, colour PPF on a Cybertruck starts from AED 15,000 before 5% VAT, depending on options.

What is colour change PPF on a Tesla Cybertruck?
It is paint protection film with the colour built into the film. On a Cybertruck it does two jobs at once: a new colour on the outside, and a thick, self healing urethane layer over the bare stainless steel.
Most owners in Dubai search for it as Cybertruck colour PPF, color change PPF or a Cybertruck wrap. The difference from a normal car is that there is no paint to protect. The Cybertruck body is unpainted stainless steel, so the film sits straight on the metal. Scratches, scuffs and fingerprints land on the film instead of in the steel, and when the film comes off, the stainless finish is still there.

Colour PPF, paint or vinyl wrap on a Cybertruck?
Colour PPF is the only option that changes the colour and protects the steel. Paint on a stainless body is a permanent change, and vinyl is thinner and protects far less.
| Colour PPF | Paint | Vinyl wrap | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Changes the colour | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Protects the steel from scratches and stone hits | Yes | No | Very little |
| Reversible | Yes | No | Yes |
| Self healing | Yes | No | No |
| Keeps the original stainless finish | Yes, underneath | No | Yes, underneath |
Paint is a poor fit for a Cybertruck. The steel would need to be prepared to take paint, and the factory stainless look is gone for good. Vinyl changes the colour but is thinner and does not take stone hits the way PPF does. Our guide to colour PPF vs vinyl wrap compares them in detail.
What colours can a Cybertruck be wrapped in?
Most colours in the current colour PPF range can go on a Cybertruck, in gloss or satin. So far we have taken Cybertrucks from stainless steel to gloss black, satin black, gloss green and brown.
Black is the most requested, because it turns the truck into a dark, solid shape that looks nothing like the factory finish. Satin black keeps a flat, low sheen that suits the truck’s hard edges. Green and brown are for owners who want something nobody else in Dubai has. Colour availability changes, so we confirm the current range when we quote. If you want to keep the stainless look and only protect it, see our Cybertruck PPF cost guide for clear film.
How much does colour change PPF cost on a Cybertruck?
Colour PPF on a Tesla Cybertruck starts from AED 15,000 before 5% VAT. Wrapping the door shuts in the new colour adds AED 3,000. The final quote depends on the colour and finish, the door shuts, and the condition of the steel.
Clear PPF on a Cybertruck starts from AED 13,500, so the colour change is a small step up from protection many owners buy anyway. A truck this size is confirmed after we see it in the studio. Our Tesla Cybertruck PPF cost guide breaks down every option, including window tint and ceramic coating.
Do the door shuts change colour too?
Only if you ask for it. With the doors closed, a standard colour change looks complete. Open a door and the stainless steel in the shuts shows.
On the gloss black Cybertruck, the owner wanted no steel showing at all. The door shuts and the inside of the tailgate were masked and finished in gloss black peelable paint in our spray booth, so the truck is black with every door open. Peelable paint can come off later, like the film. Door shuts in the new colour add AED 3,000. Tell us at the quote stage if you want them done.

How is colour PPF fitted on a Cybertruck?
The truck is cleaned down to bare, oil free steel, then the film goes on in large sheets, panel by panel, with every edge wrapped. The goal is that you cannot see stainless steel at any edge, gap or crease.
- Wash and decontamination: a full foam wash, then the steel is decontaminated. Stainless shows every fingerprint and oil mark, and film will not bond properly over them.
- Surface check: each panel is checked under studio light. On the Cyberbeast the prep included surface correction before any film went on.
- Patterns: film is cut on our plotter, then checked against the truck.
- Large sheets: the doors, bed sides and roof line are huge, flat panels. Two or three installers handle each sheet so it goes down without creases or seams in visible places.
- Edges and creases: the Cybertruck’s sharp body lines are where film wants to lift. Edges are wrapped around the doors, the light bars are trimmed by hand, and the CYBRTRK lettering on the tailgate still shows through.
- Glass: window tint is fitted after the body film when it is booked together.
- Final inspection: every edge, light bar, camera and sensor cut out is checked under studio lighting before handover.
Our PPF installation process explains each stage in more detail.

How long does a colour change take on a Cybertruck?
Plan for about 5 days, which we confirm when you book. A colour change takes longer than clear PPF because every edge, gap and crease has to be covered in the new colour, and door shuts add time.
Window tint adds about 3 to 4 hours when it is booked in the same visit. We are open every day except Friday, visits are by appointment, and we offer pick up and drop off across Dubai. No deposit is needed to book.
Can colour PPF be removed from a Cybertruck later?
Yes. The film is designed to come off and leave the stainless steel underneath as it was. Removal should be done by a studio, with heat and care, so no adhesive is left on the steel.
Some owners keep the colour for years. Others go back to stainless before selling, or change to a new colour. Our guide on how old PPF is safely removed explains the process. If you have just taken delivery, start with our protection guide for new Cybertruck owners.

Most colours in the current colour PPF range, in gloss or satin. We have taken Cybertrucks from stainless steel to gloss black, satin black, gloss green and brown, and confirm the current range when we quote.
